about this project

Projeto Marial is a dynamic social initiative with a profound mission: Support the families experiencing poverty in a catholic community in Fortaleza. Guided by the teachings of Saint Vincent, their core principle centers on expressing love and compassion through acts of service. However, faced with a declining number of volunteers, the project's leaders turned to Magnolia in 2016 to develop a strategy to modernize their visual identity and enhance their presence on social media.


The Projeto Marial aspires to draw the attention of a broader demographic of young adults aged between 20 to 25. By actively encouraging the participation of these young individuals as volunteers, the project aims to foster profound and meaningful connections between them and the families they assist. 


By keeping the hands that symbolize teamwork and an uplifting spirit in the new logo, we preserved the project's essence. By keeping its distinctive red color, we ensured continued recognition and respect within the community. Volunteers of Projeto Marial are recognised by wearing their red t-shirts in the community which helps to protect them from crime.


As Projeto Marial evolves, its message of compassion, faith, and service to those in need remains at the forefront, now strengthened by a reimagined brand that can resonate with a new generation of volunteers and supporters. After the launch of the new visual identity and social media strategy, they managed to increase their volunteer numbers by 25% in the first year.
